Abstract:
The case mainly deals with predicting the future pattern of cotton that is going to be produced by calculating its seasonal index from the past data available. It chiefly concentrates on farmers’ marketing cooperative that wants to estimate the number of bags of cotton that would be produced and the variations in the yield of cotton harvest of other members of the cooperative. The case uses Trend Analysis Concept in order to find the seasonal index for the next year.
